can I use Chunks for?
Any content that needs changing frequently
can be held in a Chunk - once the web page has been set up to link
to the Chunk, then you only need to log in to your Chunks Service
Administration page and you can update the web page content just
as easily as using a word processor. This is good for news, events,
special offers, press releases, newsletters, and many more applications.
How do I create a Chunk?
When you sign up for the Chunks Service,
you get access to the Chunk Service Administration page, protected
by your own user name and password. In the Administration page you
click a link to create a new Chunk. This gives you a new page which
includes a panel in which you can enter your content and change
its format. You can view your Chunk content in display mode or in
source mode. You can enter content in either mode, either by
typing in directly or by copy-and-paste from another application.
A good way to use the copy-and-paste is to develop your content
using a word processor, setting up the layout, fonts, indenting
and so on, then copy it into the Chunks panel.
How do I edit a Chunk?
When you view the Chunks Service Administration
page, you see a list of your existing Chunks. For each Chunk,
you can click a link to edit the Chunk. This takes you to a
new page which has the Chunk Panel, pre-filled with the current
version of that Chunk. You can type in minor changes, or replace
the whole Chunk if you wish.
